Nationally-Recognized Authority in Clinical Research Ethics
Dr. Goldkind is a nationally recognized authority in clinical research ethics. She served at the Food and Drug Administration for over 10 years as the agency’s first bioethicist. Departing as Senior Bioethicist in 2014, she received the FDA Distinguished Career Service Award for outstanding performance and expertise in designing FDA’s ethics programs. Dr. Goldkind remains a prominent voice in the ethics community. She is passionate about her work as a consultant and an educator in areas such as clinical trial design, product development, human subjects protections, regulatory compliance, institutional review board (IRB) responsibilities, and policy development.

Dr. Goldkind is a board-certified Internist. She completed a Fellowship in Clinical Bioethics at the University of South Florida, where she also obtained a Masters of Arts in Religious Studies with a focus on comparative religious ethics.
